If you have ever had a latex allergy, you will be thankful for the development of medical nitrile gloves for the medical industry. I, for one, am extremely sensitive to things that touch my skin, and can't even use the band-aids that the lab technicians use when they take my blood. I have to bring my own band-aids.
Needless to say, I am extremely allergic to the standard latex gloves that all medical personnel had to use. Luckily, nitrile gloves do not bother my skin, and I can use them.
