Paris France, the capital of the most visited country in Europe.
Even before Disneyland was firmly established as a hugely popular tourist destination just outside Paris, tourists flocked to see the Eiffel Tower, the Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées one of the most prestiges avenues in Paris.
The eternal city has always and will always be one if not the top destination to visit in Europe. There are others that cannot go without a mention, for example London England, Barcelona in Spain, Rome in Italy, and of course, since the reunification, Berlin in Germany. Taking just the 6 countries of Europe listed in the top ten most visited countries in the world, they received a combined total of 247 million visitors. France was at the top with 74.2 million visitors on her own. The European runners up in descending order were Spain, Italy, United Kingdom, Turkey and Germany who at the bottom of the list still managed 24.2 million.
