There are not many angels that are called by name in the Bible. Most times that an angel is mentioned, it is just generically. Sometimes we can identify the angel by the context, but not always. Michael was one of the angels mentioned. Michael is considered the angel of death. He was also considered the patron saint of the Chosen people, and the leaders had to fight to make sure that their people did not pray to Micheal instead of God.
