A wonderful day out starting from Issel close to Castelnaudary in France and driving through the 'Montagne Noire' national park onto Minerve the capital of the Minervois wine region in Languedoc Roussillon.
You can stop to taste wine, take in the views and scenery and then head into Carcassonne, the hoem of not one but two Unesco world heritage sites. La Cite and the Canal Du Midi. Days out sightseeing in France don't get much better than this.
